More than 150 attendees used the INTRA.NET Reloaded 2012 conference to discuss about current challenges, brand new approaches and future trends in the field of Intranet. Participants, speakers and business partners joined in on one of the biggest conferences to interchange experiences, to widen their network and to debate the upcoming challenges.

Icebreaker Session ‒ First get-together before the conference

The eve before the first day of the conference, the Icebreaker Session allowed the participants to get to know each other and network in a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere at the nhow Hotel, Berlin.

More than 20 speeches and presentations

Inspiring discussions and presentations to the core issues of the conference including Digital Workplaces, Intranet usability, user adoption rate, Intranet governance, collaboration excellence & employee engagement, mobile applications, the use of social software, non-silo knowledge management and managing information overload were introduced.
Throughout the three days of the conference the topics of focus played an important role in the agenda. Field reports, panel discussions as well as case studies were presented.
The exchange of ideas between participants, speakers and business partners was animated and encouraged through different kinds of sessions (ex. World Café, Challenge your Peers Round Tables). The aim of activating the participants of the conference to change from a passive to a part taking, debating member was gratefully accepted and fully accomplished.

In addition to the illuminating speeches in the field of how to develop a sophisticated and sustainable intranet and portal strategy, the afternoon of the first day was mainly dedicated to the exceptional Challenge your Peers Round Tables.
In the run up of the conference we.CONECT questioned the participants about their personal fields of interests, questions and problems. Throughout this poll, 8 core issues were of main consideration, which were then intensely discussed at 8 round tables.

World Café Session – The Wisdom of Crowds. A new intensive, interactive and innovative way of exchanging experiences
 

World Café Session

During the World Café Session in the morning of the second day, the participants again had the wonderful chance of intense discussions amongst each other and of exchanging ideas and solutions in the field of intranets & employee portals. Finding new innovative ideas seemed to be the center of the discussions.
Also under thorough discussion were the topics of “Changing the way we work – Communities of Practice & Collaboration culture to help us get better at what we do”, “Creating the conditions for voluntary adoption – driving collaboration through social tools”, “User experience design: Gain insight into employee collaboration using ethnographic research to develop global enterprise personas”, “Social Business Transformation & Mobile Work – Are you on your way to becoming a social business?”, “Creating the conditions for voluntary adoption – driving collaboration through social tools”, “Developing information sharing and IT-based collaboration platform and challenges for project- & change management”, “Organizational Transformation and Employee Engagement with a Global Intranet @ Zurich Financial” and “Redefining the FutureOfWork”.
The results were later on presented in a thriving panel discussion. In the afternoon more speeches followed with the topics of “Leveraging Employee generated Content from Social Media and Intranets for External Communications and Internal Branding”, “Analysing Deloitte Analytics” and “Want to build an intranet with business generated content? Decentralize, simplify, adapt, train, and be nice with your users”.

In retrospect, the Intra.NET Reloaded 2012 has been a very interesting, diversified and highly interactive networking platform for leading intranet managers and communication leaders in the field of Digital workplace from all over the world.
